As most of you know I can’t resist a good antenna tower. These are the towers on Sandia Crest overlooking Albuquerque, NM.

Looking at the various antennas there are some nice new HDTV antennas in the mix as well as what looks like an fairly old original analog antennas well. I like the number of ice breaker bars on the structures as well as the heaters around most of the FM antennas. Looks like there is a bit of snow damage in places that hasn’t been fixed yet this summer.

Looking the other way there were a couple of paragliders enjoying the strong updrafts

And while we are showing pictures of signs, I liked this one as well—though I wished I had some test equipment to see just how high the noise floor is.

Attended a wedding last weekend in my home town. It was great to go back after not being around for year or so and see that the town just hasn’t changed.

These are password protected with the password being the name of the town. Let me know if you need a hint or want something cleaned up.

Though I know nothing about Jeff Leonard (looks like he did not win) I did manage to grab this photo of mostly the bike. It was taken under very low light and holding the camera freehand with the Shutter open for 1/10 of a second. What I like about the photo is that was the only photo I took that night of moving objects and when the shutter opened after snapping the photo I had managed to almost perfectly track the motion.

Nothing all that special but it was interesting to see what appears to be “California” poppies in Oregon but only yellow . I guess when you leave the Golden state poppies no longer need to be yellow

Went to Deepwood Estates in Salem Oregon and walked around the gardens. While not as impressive some of the authentic English gardens we have seen in England it was still a pleasant walk.

While I took the “standard” photos is was this plant that we thought was interesting.
